Out of My Head made its world premiere in New York City at the prestigious Doc Fortnight 2018, The Museum of Modern Art’s annual international festival of nonfiction film and media, on February 20, 2018. The film was shown daily through February 26th.
Audiences engaged in spirited discussions following screenings with filmmakers Jacki Ochs and Susanna Styron. In addition to the filmmakers Dr. Richard Lipton, author Andrew Levy, Dr. Robert Shapiro, author Siri Hustvedt, cast member Emma Larson and film editor Francisco Bello appeared at various screenings throughout the week.
Out of My Head will be featured at ReelAbilities Film Festival, the largest festival in the US dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different disabilities.
Join the Rhode Island-based Association of Migraine Disorders for the first-ever Rhode Island screening of Out of My Head. Whether you have migraine disease, are a loved one, friend or co-worker of someone that suffers with migraines or are none of the above (chances are you are one of the above, though), you will be amazed by what you learn from this film.

Andrew Charles, M.D. will join Susanna Styron in discussion after the screening. Dr. Charles is a Professor of Neurology and Director, UCLA Goldberg Migraine Program Meyer and Renee Luskin Chair in Migraine and Headache Studies, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Out of My Head has been selected for the 13th Annual Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF) which will showcase 80 of the latest in independent feature, documentary, short and family films from 28 countries. It will be preceded by Susanna’s short narrative film House of Teeth.
BIFF screenings take place in Great Barrington and Pittsfield, MA.
Free and open to the public with registration followed by a reception with the filmmakers.
